The summer 2020 was just great. Although I didn’t come abroad and hadn’t been to any large city in Russia (apart from Kazan), it was a good summer.

However, I should point out that the first half of summertime was darkened by the studies and exams (the last one was on the 18th of July, that’s insane!). Moreover, I was worried by the environment and ignorance. I ended up hating online lessons because of the atmosphere. I’ve accepted and appreciated distance learning since then after I realised the benefits of not seeing each other every day. I calmed down and forgot about my worries when I finally didn’t need to deal with them.

Sorry for complaining, I’m done.

Anyway, what is summer 2020?

Well, it’s my granny. My granny in Pizanka. I managed to go there only on the 24th of July, which is a great pity — I lost these good days sitting in front of computer and listening to the hiccaping and being silent? Sorry for the truth. Soooo, I managed to complete lots of non-academical tasks in Pizanka. Surely, I brought books, student’s books and so on but it was all fail. I wasn’t concentrated enough on my additional learning and was worried to miss my summer.

First of all, I did the gardening. I like watering onions but dislike bringing water for tomatoes and cucumbers to the greenhouse. It’s so because our water supply barrels are 30 steps away from the heat house. Anyway, I enjoyed walking back and forth. It added to my daily dose of steps.  You see, I moved a lot and managed to lose some weight. I’m afraid I can put on again… I did jogging every day in May and June and gave up in July (due to +30° babe). In August I came to the stadium two times, got a blister and ended it up.

I tried to read books and succeeded in a way. I wanted to go in for classics but there wasn’t a calm place to concentrate on such serious thing. Moreover, I was always distracted by the garden work, so I gave it up till my quiet flat in autumn. I do not fell guilty or sorry, there’s so much time in future!

Since I mentioned books, I need to tell that I «launched» my bookstagram blog. I have only 26 subscribers but I know there’ll be far more when I am active with posts, comments and stories. I do my best to make nice photos!

I went to the river twice and swam. It was strange to know that I was afraid of depth even though I’m highly-skilled in swimming. I realised I needed to see what was under my feet or I needed someone next to me.

I walked to the fields (they were close to our village), creased ears (sorry) and puddled my trousers sitting on the ground. I made lots of wonderful photos which would be pretty enough for the entire 2020.

I’m happy to say that I met my old friends there in Pizanka. We walked a lot with Diana and rode our bikes for 12 km or so. Our lives had changed and we had much fun telling about fine moments. I hope we’ll carry on being friends in Kirov while studying.

I called to Vitya’s grandmother’s house and invited him to chat. I was lucky to catch him as he just came to Pizanka and intended to go away the next day. We remembered our childhood memories and talked about philosophy. Next morning he picked me up with his father’s car and we had a ride around Pizanka’s surroundings. He left for Moscow then and I was sad.

I made friends with my third cousin who lives in Odintsovo. It was cool to talk to her as she grew up and became closer to me in a mental way. I liked chatting with her and felt sad when she left.

I went to the «Hot Sands» (a nice place near Pizanka). To be exact, I rode a bike there with our neighbour and her daughter. The views were amazing and I pointed out that the place hadn’t changed since I was there last time (about 7 years ago). We made perfect photos and shooted some videos for my future summer 2020 video.

The last evening before my leave for Kirov to study I made my mum and granny to make a small picnic with fire. It was gloomy outside, the sky was grey — thunderstorm! but we managed to fry our sausages and enjoyed the atmosphere…

I really like Pizanka. I was living the dream there…

I came to Kazan. I have been to the city about 4 years ago and only remembered the famous aquapark and embankment. We came there at 10 a.m. and headed to MEGA where I bought so desirable clothes rail.

I also bought two extremely cute pink ceramic cups for aesthetics. It was a rainy day but we walked along the streets all the same, I liked the Bauman Street that looked like a street from a different country. I enjoyed Kazan and intended to make a longer visit there in the future months.

Chepetsk was also good. There were so many events like 3 a.m. walks, photoshoots and making videos. We went to the roof of a 9-floor-house and viewed our hometown. I got invited to a little get-together, laughed and sang a lot. I made boys to go on the swings with me and so on…

We went to Karintorf to make a video and spent the whole day getting all the parts into a 9-minutes vlog (9.5 minutes of nice music).

We made a cake, I wanted some special decoration and Max helped me with it. I talked Yegor into going to a clothes shop and try some shirts on. We got cold in June and walked up till 1 a.m. We rode our bikes with Anya along the streets of Chepetsk, talked a lot and danced near the way into the city.

Me and Kate crossed the Karinsky Bridge and headed to the fields, got mosquito bites and touched the waters of Cheptsa. We also went to Kirov to eat in MacDonald’s and found some nice clothes. I bought a perfect jacket. Me and Elina drank coctails 10 minutes before the closing time of the cinema club, were adventurers, ate 2 bars of chocolate in a time. We came to the market place, improvised and caught the sun.

I will miss those times.

Thank you, my granny Nina, my mummy Natasha, my sister Masha, Max, Elina, Yegor, Diana, Katya, Anya, Sasha, Alina and some other wonderful people who helped me forget about my depression at least for 3 months.
