Hello,
I kept in mind to go on telling about things that I’ve watched and read recently.
I must admit that I’ve started writing about my favourites a looong time ago but since I’m here and am not going to give up on my writings, I’m completing what I planned!
Firstly, I want to tell you about my favourite youtuber Max Fosh. I learnt about him due to the video by his friends, which made me go for Max. The video he makes are just brilliant. I wonder where he gets so much inspiration for such originality and freshness. But one of his recent videos in which Max legally became a member of The Royal Family ahahahah. Doing everything LEGALLY is just Max’s speciality.
Another person who makes me calmer and motivated at the same time is a Japan man who makes silent vlogs walking around Tokyo and travelling across Japan (YT: Sorekara Travel). Sadly, he gave over making videos for some time, but I hope that he’ll resume soon. The video I liked is here. I just watch, read subtitles, quiet down and get admired by landscapes, dorps, unique architecture. The more I watch, the stronger I’m growing ambitious and determined to do something with my life and get to achive my travel goals.
Most recently, I’ve taken to watching short-length films. You know, those that are called like ‘The award-winning…’, ‘The Oscar awarded…’ and so on. The reason for my new love is that the films are short, oftentimes don’t contain clichés and are to the point. One of the worthy works is ‘Taste’ filmed by Russian State University of Cinemtography (prod. by E.Krasner). The plot starts with the scene where a family is hosting a guest who knows a great deal about vines. ‘The housefather` is strongly convinced that the guest won’t guess which grape the vine they’re drinking was made from (because it’s so hard, he thinks). So, the father bets his daughter in the presence of her boyfriend…
Welcome to Cambridge is the short instruction how to make me cry out of the blue. I suppose there’s no need to comment on it much as it’s pretty obvious: a beautiful video filled with cliché-like views of Cambridge, which are, in fact, so desirable to achieve.
The last video in this pick is an interwiew with the former BigHit trainee, who was supposed to be a member of BTS. Watching it, I completely sympathised Kim Ji-hun in his words about debuting and training with the future kpop stars. Although I never experienced such moments, I realised what it felt like having a chance to be like them, but most importantly, to be WITH them. Like Ji-hun said he didn’t envy their money or fame, he envied the fact that they got to stay together. Sometimes I do feel the same thinking that I’ve lost something important. Knowing that I will never be a part of their life tears me up, having no opoortunity just to hang out, to discuss everyday life upsets me leaving me disappointed in my life (sad but true)
Finally, did you know that scrolling habr.com is always helpful. I liked this article on shibboleth. Cambridge dictionary nach, shibboleth is ‘a word, phrase, custom, etc., only known to a particular group of people, that you can use to prove to them that you are a real member of that group’.
That is all!
Thank you for reading about my favourites and look forward to new articles!
