November is already here, so it’s high time to tell you about my favourites

Recently, I’ve taken to watching Casey Neistat’s videos. I knew that he was one of the best storytellers on YouTube but watched just few videos. Do what you can’t is legend! In one of the videos I watched this October, the youtuber showed the process of door installing. Like someone wrote in the comment section: Casey is the person who will turn any ordinary thing like this into something exciting. One would think it’s pretty simple to make video clips and put them together. Na ja, come and try! That video made me think of my own ideas how to tell a story to keep the reader (or the watcher who knows?) captured.

Now that Casey has turned back to New York (I’ll find out why it’s important), he started making more videos. So, I’ll go on following him in his art.

I suppose that everybody has come across those lofi music videos. They differ in design and the music itself. Some people may even film themselves as they’re studying, others make animations. Well, imagine there’s a story behind this lofi girl. The video is like an alternative version of what may happen behind the scenes. It’s exiting, so it’s worth watching.

The article about work culture and ADHD (‘Work Culture Makes Individual Workers Feel Like a Problem’) fell along me when I was scrolling magazines’ websites in order to find some decent reding. The reason I decided to tell you about this article is just because I found some common ground with the author. I’m not diagnosed with ADHD, but I definitely feel that some parts of me run in with ADHD symptoms. Well, it’s not what one might think. The article tells about difficulties of keeping up with the colleagues at work and highlights the advantage of working from home. The article affected me at the moment when I was struggling with my life, when I was trying to find an online job in order to escape from 8/5 job. Now that my life’s changed and I failed to find a remote job to sustain myself financially, I have to resign myself to it but still strongly agree with the author of the article.

Another article by TeenVogue made me cry as read the stories of those who has achieved something in fashion world. It’s not that I’m going to be a fashion star, no. It concerns my professional way in this life. In some way it made me emotional as it got to me once again (!!!) that I’d have to work hard and struggle somewhere at the bottom to become someone worthy in the end.

The last highlight of October is Sally Rooney`s Conversations with Friends. I watched ‘Normal people’ based on her same-name novel and can now conclude that Rooney has a style. I do feel her personal writing which is reflected in how dialogues are constructed, personal relationships are built and the plot is developing. Initially, I couldn’t stand the way the characters were acting, well.. it was hard to accept their personalities, but some chapters later I realised I could relate to the main character Frances. I even wrote some extracts down just because they were amusingly similar to my relationships with the outer world.

When writing this article I learnt that they filmed tv-series based on Conversations with Friends. Okay, let’s watch it!
